What a QR code is for
A QR code stores a short piece of text, usually a website or an email address, so a phone camera can open it without typing. On board it is handy for a notice, a permit link, a company form or a Wi-Fi page. Keep the text short. Very long text makes a dense code that is harder to scan.
How this generator works
The page builds a QR image from the text you type. Small, medium and large change the picture size on screen. Do not put passwords, passport numbers or secret ship data in a QR code. For a printed notice, test the scan before you post it.
Who should use it
Useful for notices and training handouts. It is not a cargo or security document.
