Pilot Card Generator

Fill ship particulars and generate a simple pilot information card.

What is a pilot card?

A pilot card is a short sheet of ship particulars given to the pilot on boarding. It should show length, beam, draft, displacement or DWT, engine power, propeller type, thrusters, rudder, anchors and any defects that affect manoeuvring. IMO Resolution A.601(15) and the Bridge Procedures Guide expect this information to be ready before the pilot boards.

How this generator works

Fill the boxes and click Generate Card. The page shows a clean summary you can screenshot or read out during the Master–Pilot exchange. It does not replace the official company pilot card or the wheelhouse poster. Drafts and defects must be the actual present condition, not the sea-trial figures.

Who should use it

Useful for officers preparing for arrival when the printed card is missing or needs a quick update. Always give the pilot the official card as well if the company provides one.
