Why muster time is recorded
Fire and abandon-ship drills are required by SOLAS. The useful number is not just “drill done”, it is how long the crew took to reach the muster station and be counted. A slow muster in good weather will be slower at night or in a real emergency. Many companies set an internal target, often around 10 minutes from the first alarm to “all accounted for”.
How this tracker works
Enter the alarm time and the time the last person was accounted for. The tool shows minutes and seconds and compares them with your target. Record the result in the official drill log. This page does not replace the Official Log Book or the company’s drill form.
Who should use it
Useful for the safety officer or chief officer running the drill. After the drill, note any late departments and fix the cause before the next drill.
