What Annex VI covers
MARPOL Annex VI is the air-pollution annex. It covers fuel sulphur, NOx, ship energy efficiency, fuel data collection and ozone-depleting substances. Port State Control often starts with the IAPP Certificate, Bunker Delivery Notes and the changeover log. Missing one record can turn a short inspection into a detention discussion.
How to use this page
Tick items as you confirm them against the official certificates and logs. This list is a reminder, not a substitute for the annex text or class survey. Limits and required documents depend on ship type, year and whether a scrubber is fitted.
Who should use it
Useful for the chief engineer and Master before arrival. Keep the real documents in the file the inspector will ask for.
